Pure Project Meets Pure Burger

Pure Project Meets Pure Burger: The Ultimate Beer-Burger Duo

Did They Steal Our Name? (Just Kidding… Or Did They?)

You know what they say—great minds think alike. Or in this case, great taste buds. When we first heard about Pure Project, one of San Diego’s finest craft breweries, we had to laugh. Here we are at Pure Burger Bar, serving up the juiciest, grass-fed & finished burgers in San Clemente, and then there’s Pure Project, brewing some of the best beer in California. Coincidence? Maybe. Destiny? Absolutely.

Obviously, we had to bring these two “Pure” legends together—because what’s better than a fresh, all-natural burger and a craft beer brewed with the same level of passion?

Who Is Pure Project? (And Why We’re Obsessed)

Pure Project Meets Pure Burger

Pure Project isn’t just another brewery. Founded in 2015, these guys take brewing to another level. Their story started on a backpacking trip through Colorado in 2013. They originally launched as Manuel Antonio Brewing Company in Costa Rica, inspired by tropical ingredients and the “pura vida” (pure, simple life) mindset. But lucky for us (and all of California), they decided San Diego was their true calling. (Pure Brewing)

Their philosophy? Keep it pure. They use locally sourced ingredients, take inspiration from global flavors, and make beers with big personalities—just like our burgers.

Oh, and did we mention they were runner-up for Brewery of the Year in 2024? Yeah, they don’t mess around. (San Diego Beer News)

The Pure Project Beer That Stole Our Burger-Loving Hearts

So what happens when you pair one of the best craft beers in California with the best burger in San Clemente? Absolute magic.

At Pure Burger Bar, we proudly serve Pure Project PURE WEST (West Coast IPA)—a bold, hoppy, unfiltered West Coast IPA that pays tribute to the farmers who grow the world’s finest hops.

Pure Project PURE WEST (West Coast IPA): A Craft Beer Gem

This unfiltered West Coast IPA is a celebration of craftsmanship, highlighting hand-selected hops and the hardworking farmers behind them. It’s everything an IPA lover craves—crisp, resinous, and exploding with citrusy goodness.

Brewed with Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Strata, and Simcoe hops, this golden-hued masterpiece delivers big tropical fruit aromas and a perfectly balanced bitterness. Unlike hazy IPAs that go all in on juiciness, this one brings back the classic West Coast IPA punch—clean, bright, and brimming with zesty grapefruit, fresh pineapple, and pine resin.

Piney and refreshing. I’ll have another. (Jimbay808, Tavour Review)

What to Expect

  • Aroma: Bursting with pineapple, apricot, and lemon sorbet.
  • Flavor: A bold, zesty mix of grapefruit zest, resin, and tropical pineapple.
  • Mouthfeel: Crisp, refreshing, and perfectly bitter in all the right ways.
